Our spiritual journey includes lessons designed to help us increase our spiritual knowledge and understanding. This process, spiritual initiation, is a four part process that we must complete in order to move forward. How long does it take and what happens when we arrive at the end?
The Shift in Consciousness is a process of reconnecting to our Source, a spiritual journey that is a return to our inner power. The journey through the learning and experiences that allow us to achieve this is a spiritual initiation, a process that allows us to face our fears and doubts and move forward on our path.
A spiritual initiation is a four part process, each one being important to our achieving enlightenment. The four parts are:
- Birth – a sudden and difficult experience that is a step into unknown territory
- Trial – the series of events that we must complete in order to move on to the next step
- Lesson – what we must learn in this process, or the soul lessons that we are being provided with
- Enlightenment – the final stage, where we emerge with a new understanding of ourselves, our life path and purpose and a greater sense of our power.
When the spiritual initiation process works smoothly we move through each of the four stages, in our own time. But we can get stuck in different parts of the process and are unable to move forward. Understanding the meaning and significance of each step of this process helps unlock the secrets to moving through it. How long does it take? As long as we allow. There is no time limit. However, understanding what is involved will help us move through it more quickly and arrive at the final stage, enlightenment.
