Description
Our southern neighbor is on the edge of civil war. The presidential election was so close that the defeated candidate refuses to recognize the victory of the ‘victor’. He has brought thousands of demonstrators into the streets of the capital and vows to create a rival government to compete with the official one. Obrador, the champion of the poor, refuses to cooperate with Calderon, the leader of the new free trade economy. Can the impasse be resolved without violence? Can democracy in Mexico survive this crisis?
