The Daily Source Code is a podcast by one of the founders of podcasting, Adam Curry, in which he talks about all the latest news in podcasting.
"Users and Devlopers Partying Together" as Adam used to say. The Daily Source Code started as a podcast where Adam would play a song or two and promote podcasts as well as asking devlopers of podcatchers to make this tweak or that. Now it has become a place to help promote podcasts as well as podsafe music. Adam plays promos, podsafe music and mash ups.

The Daily Source Code Podcast is a hip pocast. The show I listened to opened with a smooth remix called “Stairway to Bootleg Heaven” by DJ Earworm. The host, Adam Curry, also reports news bits with commentary and personal anecdotes infused with the news. Curry has good sense of humor that comes through in his podcast. He talks about his fascination with Dolly Parton which I found hilarious.
The quality of the podcast is great. There were several promos for other podcasts included in The Daily Source Code. This podcast is adult oriented though. I wouldn’t recommend it for teens and kids.

I'll never forget the day I heard my first podcast. It was March 28th, 2005 and we were in the car on the way to San Diego. I knew within minutes that podcasting would change the world. What podcast did I lose my "virginity" to? The Daily Source Code of course!
The DSC is the "flagship" podcast and works for a number of reasons. First of all, it's very obvious that Adam Curry's "on-air talent" makes the show very listenable. Second, he keeps the format consistent while also mixing it up with the Hit Test, mash-ups, podsafe music, etc. It's a blast to listen to. Finally, it's a must-listen if you're interesting in the business of podcasting and where this new technology is headed. Adam is on the cutting-edge of all of this with Podshow and it's cool to get an insider's look into what's going on.
The only reason I didn't give this show 5 stars is that I do feel that the occasional "soundseeing" tours are a little lackluster. Some people might be into these but my recommendation would be to have a separate feed for these that someone could subscribe to if they were interested. Having said that, podcasting makes it real easy to skip an episode.

Well we've all listened to this one from the start. You gotta love Adam Curry. He's helped create this medium and he's one of the hardest working podcasters in the business. And he really does want to empower the people, and to make sure that our voices are getting heard outside of mainstream media outlets. His show is usually in real time with all the technical flaws and little interruptions that can happen. But that's part of podcasting and what makes it unique. I'm not a huge fan of unedited and mostly unprepared audio blogging, but Adam is a professional DJ so he knows how to keep it rolling. Sometimes his discussions of various airlines or how he got treated at a hotel aren't that interesting. But it's all part of the show and he's got his finger on the pulse of the podcasting world so tune in.
