Jesse Thorn's show is quite entertaining. Although the show is not restricted to any one subject, most of the shows revolve around entertainment and pop culture in general. The guests that Jesse interviews are not the A-list celeberties but that actually makes the show a lot more entertaining than interviews that you see on mainstream TV. The conversations are funny and honest. And if you want to know what or who is the next big thing, especially in comedy, I recommend this show.
If I remember correctly from one of the shows, Jesse is only twenty four years old. Although he is young, he is very intelligent and articulate. And despite the title, the show is much more counter culture and indie than it is Brittney Spears. Sound quality is great.

I was pleasantly impressed by this podcast and there's nothing else out there really like it. Jesse Thorn is a funny host and he interviews people from a lot of different back routes in American popular culture. People like comedians, quirky musicians, B list actors, TV writers, and more. For the most part he focuses on people that deal in humor. And don't be fooled by the name. This isn't a kids show really. It's just that our pop culture is a youth culture so I guess that's why it's the Sound of Young America, but there's usually no fkids or teens involved. It's a fun listen and if you follow comedy you'll probably find some funny interviews here with people from your favorite comedy outlets.
