Breakfast of Champions is vintage Vonnegut. One of his favorite characters, aging writer Kilgore Trout, finds to his horror that a Midwest car dealer is taking his fiction as truth. The result is murderously funny satire as Vonnegut looks at war, sex, racism, success, politics, and pollution in America and reminds us how to see the truth.

Great Narration of Kurt Vonnegut Classic, May 06, 2006

I enjoyed this unabridged audio book of Kurt Vonnegut's classic "Breakfast of Champions". Stanley Tucci's narration has the perfect pitch for the observations of Vonnegut and the voice of the main character Kilgore Trout. I laughed out loud quite a few times. It's a chaotic and quite relevant satire of modern America. Some of the self-conscious literary devices such as Vonnegut inserting himself into the story I found less than brilliant, but overall it's a fun listen.
