In spite of the extraordinary horrors of cancer, sickle-cell anemia, disability, or AIDS, the kids have learned to seize life, magnify and glorify it, and be grateful for its gifts. Through their poems and conversations we learn about their families, the importance of their friends, and their perceptions of God. Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp, Michael Douglas, Whoopi Goldberg, and many others join to celebrate the children's words and lives.
