Because They Hate: A Survivor of Islamic Terror Warns America.Brigitte Gabriel lost her childhood to militant Islam. gr300 posts a warning about the recommendation to watch beheading videos. We need to split this up.
1. You SHOULD watch this presentation by Brigitte Gariel. It is informative, truthful and very moving.
2. If you have the stomach, you should do as she recommends and go watch a beheading video. These acts are not abstract fantasies. Which would you prefer, watch videos now and stop Political Islam now, or have it happen to you or your friends in front of your own eyes?
3. If you would be disturbed by beheading videos, definately don't watch them. But never forget that you are a sheep, being protected by a friendly guard dog. Do not, do not, do not, muzzle that guard dog, or you yourself will later have to face those beheaders on your own.

Very informative and insightful. We need to turn off our tv's and start caring about America again. We have become so self absorbed and entertainment oriented we are no longer paying attention to what is happening all around us. America will not be here very long if this doesn't change.

A friend recently recommended that I watch this video. It was somewhat informative, but mostly seemed to be a rehashing of the kind of information that we've all heard many times since 9/11. It could be that the video is a few years old; I see no date of publication.
I mostly want to comment about the speaker's recommendation that the US press did us a disservice by not showing beheading videos. Well, I acted on that recommendation, and I truly regret having done so. I searched the web for the videos, found them, and watched one. I'll sum up my reaction by saying that I didn't sleep last night. If you're at all concerned about how you might react to watching such a video, I STERNLY WARN YOU NOT TO WATCH IT. For me, the experience was psychologically traumatic. I don't mean to titillate or to pique your curiosity. I mean to steer you away from something that's potentially extremely harmful. The video that I saw shows the depths of the twisted, black, vulgar evil that man is capable of, and given the option, no one should allow such evil to enter their mind. My prayers go out to those who live in regions where this kind of brutality is an every-day experience. God have mercy.
