In 1851, the nine-member Oatman family, on their way by covered wagon to California, were attacked by Apache Indians in Arizona. Two girls, Olive and Mary Ann, were taken captive by their attackers. An older brother, Lorenzo, was left for dead but managed to return to civilization. The rest of the family was brutally murdered. The story of the Oatman girls and their brother’s search for them is vividly described in this riveting true story.
