After the longest peace-time expansion in American history, one in five American children is growing up poor. There's mounting evidence that poverty is not just a condition; it's often a trap. This is a very informative and comprehensive article about poverty in the state of Kentucky. I would love to get a transcript in order to post an audio of this to my blog. I think everyone should listen to this audio file!
