General Content: The Pursuit of Wow! is all about blowing the socks off of people, about giving people an experience (in the business world or otherwise) that makes them say “Wow”. Indeed, that’s the feeling I had while listening to this audiobook. In it, Peters’ covers a range of topics from customer service to the emergence of Asia a global economic powerhouse. In his own words he would rather be “interesting than right” and interesting he certainly is. Peters is the kind of guy who you might not always agree with (or sometimes may even violently disagree with) but at the same time, he’ll always make you think.
While I loved this audiobook my only criticism of it is that it’s a severely abridged version of the printed book (349 pages condensed into a single cassette). Peters has so much good stuff to say that I would have preferred to have heard more. Sadly, as far as I am aware, no unabridged version of the book exists. Overall, great audiobook although it would have been nice if it was longer.
Audio-Specific Content: I listened to the cassette (one cassette, a little over an hour) version of this book. It was read by the author which was a real treat. Peters has a very distinct style and passionate voice which adds to the enjoyment of listening to this book. I only wish I could have heard more of him.
