Unbearably obnoxious. I was expecting a tolerable little course on some useful words I could use in my daily life. But Ms. Fleishe and Mr. Freedman have really outdone themselves and managed to create an ongoing dialogue of painful jokes that is worse than the worst of morning radio talk show babble. After two discs I could not listen anymore. They go back and forth segwaying between words and while a few of them might be useful, most of them are so quirkily “Genius” that I could never use them in a conversation. They repeat them in these ludicrous monologues of hackneyed standup routine characters, but they never spell the words out for you. If you can grin very easily and bear it, then maybe Word Smart is for you. But I found it intolerable.
