An enjoyable listen. A very important correction though. We now find that most every word has an emotion with it and every emotion has an idea or thought behind it. If we feel out of sorts, sad or the like, we can go to the thought behind that feeling and fix it. So it may not be so much a matter of balancing feelings and thoughts, but more correcting the thoughts that twist our feelings out of reality into worlds we really don't want to go into. Once we correct our feelings, then they are good guides to life. Feelings, like intuitions and gut reactions, though, need checking, especially if they are giving us a problem. Feelings are the mind's quickie scan of our life for a problem, a solution or a good direction for us to take. Hard to believe, but the subconscious is a million times faster than the conscious mined Jane Austen made use of her intuition to good affect. Frankly I find that to be the case in general with women, if that's politically correct to say so.
Anyway I hope all that is clear. It is pretty much the findings of Emotional Intelligence and Cognitive Therapy. We can ignore those findings, but at a high price as our heroines learned.
