David Maraniss is an associate editor at The Washington Post and author of three critically acclaimed and best-selling books: When Pride Still Mattered: A Life of Vince Lombardi (2002); First In His Class: A Biography of Bill Clinton (1999); and most recently They Marched into Sunlight: War and Peace, Vietnam and America, October 1967 (2003). He is also the author of The Clinton Enigma (2000); The Prince of Tennessee: Al Gore Meets His Fate (2001) with colleague Ellen Nakashima, and Tell Newt to Shut Up with Michael Weisskopf (1996). His expertise on President Clinton and other political figures has made him a frequent guest on national television news shows. During his 26-year career at The Washington Post, Maraniss has won virtually every major award in journalism, including the 1993 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting for his articles on the life and career of Bill Clinton. A book signing will follow.
