Some sense, August 28, 2010

Ok... Some sense. No, this guy is not that tactful.
But as far as Osteen, he opens every broadcast talking about how "today we will learn the Word of God," yet how often does he open that Bible he carries around? How often do you hear a scripture during his broadcast? And I watch regularly. I do not believe that God considers Osteen a pastor, but a hireling who sees the wolf coming but does not warn the sheep (Osteen's emphasis is on the positive, touchy feely, which has its place in preaching, but the emphasis in the Bible is on sin, sacrifice, the cross, and holiness--things you rarely, if ever, hear from Osteen.)
If Osteen called himself a Christian motivational speaker, I would be entirely on his bandwagon, but since he calls himself a preacher and pastor, he is not even close to being what God considers a pastor to be in Holy scripture.
Osteen was afraid to tell Larry King the straight-up truth, and Larry King backed down from Jerry Seinfeld one night!!! Are you telling me that Jerry Seinfeld has more courage than a man who is supposed to be a devil-stomping, power-filled warrior of God? If Osteen backs down from a guy who backed down from Jerry Seinfeld, what is he going to do when the devil comes after him?
I am no one's judge, but the One True Judge said very clearly in His Word to warn the sheep, and if you know the Bible, you know that both the Apostle Paul and the Apostle John, under inspiration of the Spirit, were not shy about naming names.

I really enjoy listening to every word the LORD gives Joel Osteen. I really don't know this Jonathan Modene and really if he is cutting down Joel then something is wrong with him.
Thanks,
Jesus Loves me!!!!!!!

For ANY man claiming to be a believer to bad mouth another believer makes him look worse than the person he's talking about. Where in the Bible is a scripture that tells ministers to downgrade another believer thats drawing the lost to God.
I am even more determined to listen to Joel than this guy!

Misleading title, this MP3 questions Osteen's 'weak' faith., May 22, 2008
Reviewer: robliano
So, after using Joel Osteen's likeness and a misleading product description to draw attention to his MP3, Jonathan Modene basically puts down (sometimes tactfully) Joel Osteen.
Example: He (Modene) wouldn't want to pastor the largest church, he'd rather pastor the most 'faith full' church. He comes off as a bit jealous 'you'll see his (Osteen's) face in the book store, a top seller, I won't read it.'
Then, after he continues to discredit Osteen based on an interview with Larry King, Modene then preaches from his own position and agenda.
I'm not sure trying to discredit someone is very Christian like considering the many people that Joel Osteen is reaching in a positive manner.
