Birds that have been abused and violated won't leave the nest in the same way that children who have been sexually abused often cling to the adults in their lives. Other signs that one may be a victim of sexual abuse are age inappropriate bedwetting, thumb sucking, and sexual behavior. Understanding these "body memories," John Bradshaw explains, is crucial to ascertaining whether or not one is a victim, because "mental memories" are often repressed. In this lecture, John Bradshaw, a leader in the self-help movement and himself a victim of verbal sexual abuse, presents guidelines for identifying the signs of abuse, as well as startling data on the extent of incest, 3 levels of sexual addiction, the dynamics of incest families, and profiles of both sex offenders and the partners of sex addicts.

I was cinvected of sexual adbuse and spent 12 years in prison because of my sickness. I went through 10 year of therapy by experts in the field. I thank god for that therapy. But I never knew what my daughter (my victum) felt about what happened to her intill I read this book. I thank god for "Incest and Sexual Addiction, A Lecture By: John BradShaw".
