Written in 1875 by British poet William Ernest Henley, 'Invictus' is an inspirational poem that talks of courage in the face of adversity, liberty, stoicism, strength and individualism. These values are best encapsulated in the last two lines of the poem,
"I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul."
These and other phrases from the poem have become a common part of the English language.

'Invictus' is published as an audiobook of the same title by LearnOutLoud and Brian Johnson, philosopher and CEO of Zaadz,Inc. Brian Johnson is also the narrator of the poem. He does a better-than-average job of narrating the poem, though he sometimes stresses on the wrong syllables or at the wrong times. Nevertheless, I recommend this audio title to everyone looking to gain courage and inspiration- all in a span of 2 minutes!
