Content review: Long, Slow & Deep is a different type of yoga routine. If holding one specific pose for 10 minutes doesn't appeal to you, you probably have the wrong program. Having said that, the benefits of a slow yoga routine a numerous. Not only is it physically very challenging but it's mentally challenging as well. We're used to being so "busy" during our workouts that going slower can be helpful in getting us to quiet our minds and bodies.
It's not quite as much of a cardio workout as some of Bryan's other products, but outside of that I really enjoyed Long, Slow & Deep. There are some great stretches for your hips and hamstrings, two areas that are very tight for most people (as Bryan says during the workout, there are 90,000 hip replacements in the U.S. alone every year!). If you're willing to stick with the workout (all 2 hours of it) I think you'll find it to be very refreshing and invigorating.
Audio-specific review: The sound quality is very good which is remarkable considering that this is a live studio session. Given the length of the workout it is split over 2 CDs which means you do need to change the CD (unless you have an automatic changer). Other than that, it's a very quality production and includes a helpful booklet with instructions for the various exercises.
