The Authors@Google program presents Elizabeth Gilbert author of "Eat, Pray Love": A New York Times bestseller, Eat, Pray, Love is the story of the author, in her early 30s, dividing a year equally among three dissimilar countries - Italy, India, and Bali, exploring her competing urges for earthly delights and divine transcendence. Sustaining a chatty, conspiratorial tone, Gilbert fully engages readers in the year's cultural and emotional tapestry as she details her exotic tableau with history, anecdote and impression."Gilbert's prose is fueled by a mix of intelligence, wit and colloquial exuberance that is close to irresistible, and makes the reader only too glad to join the posse of friends and devotees who have the pleasure of listening in." JENNIFER EGAN, NY Times, Feb 2006

Liz Gilbert really has the gift of being able to express her thoughts and emotions. She speaks passionately about her writing and her life in this talk. Her narration of an excerpt from her book “Eat, Pray, Love” was really wonderful. Great conversation!
