Mark Shields on Hillary Clinton, May 24, 2008
Reviewer: Betty Maddocks
Hello,
Thank you for listening: I am addressing the vitriol by Mark Shields of Hillary Clinton speaking of her husband's campaign in 92 and that of Bobby Kennedy in 68 as examples of the nominating process going well into summer while referencing Bobby Kennedy's assassination.
Please ask this of Mark Shields: does he mean to imply because Hillary mentioned this assassination that Obama, too, could be assassinated because this is what it looks like to me. And if this is what Shield's means by his denigrating statements this borders on a case of libel. How dare he? And where's the proof ~ he said Bobby didn't enter the race until April of 68. "SO WHAT" ~ the point is that she is defending her right to stay in the race and others have stayed until June. And what about the rights of American voters to be heard? So their votes don't count now ~ "just get out Hillary". Is this what Mark Shields means ~ this is exactly what he is distorting.
I think Mark Shields and the rest of the media need to take their own inventory. How many times and how much pressure has come to bear upon Hillary to get out of this race? This should be easy enough for the pundits to research.
YOU THINK just a little bit of sexism here?
I am deeply offended by Mark Shields and I think he owes an apology to Hillary Clinton now.
Sincerely,
Betty Maddocks
