The Matt’s Guitar Lick of the Week Podcast I reviewed dissected the guitar lick “Hey Joe” from “Live at Winterland.” I have no knowledge of how to play guitar, so I had difficulty following this podcast. I did find that the host did an excellent job of giving an explanation of unusual guitar terminology.
Despite my lack of knowledge on this topic, I would definitely recommend this podcast to individuals interested in learning to play rock songs on a guitar. The host was motivational and had the ability to describe through audio where to place your fingers in a logical manner.

Matt's Guitar Lick of the Week podcast is a great way for musicians with basic guitar knowledge to learn how to play a guitar lick from a famous song. Each week, the host Matt Dill takes listeners step-by-step through the guitar lick, all the while pointing out finger positioning and suggesting techniques.
I thought this podcast was very organized and executed nicely. Matt does a fabulous job of explaining exactly how to play the lick. I don't play guitar, but I found that I was able to follow along reasonably well. I'm sure that if you already know how to play, you'd understand everything he talks about. This podcast is a 4-star effort and is sure to be one of the most popular ones in the LearnOutLoud.com directory.
