Chad Hurley and Steve Chen, the two founders of YouTube, announce the launch of local sites in Brazil, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Poland, Spain and the UK. In time, each site will benefit from an entirely "local" experience, allowing for country-specific video rankings and comments, as well as Video, Channel, Categories and Community sections.
