J.E., February 17, 2006
Reviewer: J.E. from Chicago, Illinois

The Kyoto podcast gives listeners an idea of what it's like to live, work, and travel in Kyoto, Japan. The host, Tim Burgess, has been living in Japan's former capital city for many years and is thus positioned to provide some insider tips and advice. You can learn which tourist attractions are worth seeing, which ones should be avoided, and how much money you can expect to spend while seeing the sights. You can also discover which authentic Japanese cuisine is actually pretty tasty and which dishes you might not enjoy very much.

I thought this podcast was pretty good. I have been to Kyoto many times, and can report that a lot of Tim's observations are spot-on. His advice about travel is excellent, and can really save you a lot of time. The only suggestion I have as far as improving the program would be to focus a bit more on the travel part rather than the living in Japan part only because it gets kinda boring just listening to people tell about their daily lives.

Overall, I give this podcast 3.5 stars.
