The Las Vegas Insider is a podcast designed to help travelers get an inside look at various Vegas hot spots. The podcast is hosted by a Las Vegas resident, so his insight is often pretty good.
I was surprised at how much useful information each show has. Some of it, such as concert information, is dated, but a lot of it is sound advice that you can put to use whether you are going to Sin City next week or next year. For example, he talked about some things to look out for when taking a taxi (something that nearly every visitor to Vegas has to do). Now I know what to look out for the next time I use a cab over there. He also talked about which casinos he thought were best, and a bunch of other things.
If you are planning a trip to Las Vegas, you should definitely listen to a few of these podcasts to get an idea of what you will be encountering. 4 stars overall.

Michael Butler is a great host to listen to. A many of many talents (he also hosts the Rock and Roll Geek Show podcast), Butler does an excellent job at giving a true insider's view of Vegas. Unlike some podcasts, this isn't just a promo for coming attractions but rather the kind of thing you would hear from a friend if he or she lived in Vegas.
Butler covers a wide array of Vegas entertainment options and does so in a highly listenable fashion. If you're planning a trip there you'll want to download a few previous episodes of this podcast to get some great ideas about what to do while you're there.
