2005 in Review

Wow, what a year it has been! It's kind of hard to believe that LearnOutLoud wasn't even around a year ago this time (we officially launched back in late January 2005). Less than 12 months later our Catalog has over 10,000 titles, we're getting thousands of visits a day to LearnOutLoud.com and our membership has doubled in the last two months. And while we'll take a part of the credit we also want to recognize all of you who have been telling people about LearnOutLoud, blogging about us, etc.

It has been a tremendous year and we wanted to say a big thank you to all of you who've subscribed to our newsletter, visited our site and purchased audio books from us. We've got a lot in store for 2006 and are excited to show you what we've been working so hard on these last couple of months. Our goal is to do our best to serve you. So to that end please keep letting us know what you would like to see. What can we provide to you that will make your commute/workout/etc. more enjoyable? What else would you like to see on our site? Send an e-mail to suggestions@learnoutloud.com and we'll do everything in our power to make your requests happen.

New "Ear's" Resolutions

Have you made your New Ear's Resolutions yet? Yup, that was an intentional misspelling. A New Ear's Resolution is a resolution to change the things you listen to in the coming year. Here's an example:

9. Learn a language this year - Learning a foreign language used to be a lot more difficult than it is now. You used to have to go to expensive classes or try to learn from boring books which aren't all that great at teaching language anyway. All that's changed. There are a number of great companies like Pimsleur and Rosetta Stone who are producing excellent foreign language courses. You can throw these in on your way to work and absorb a ton during your commute. It might not be enough to achieve fluency but you'll get pretty darn close. Not a bad way to spend your drive time...

We've got nine more New Ear's Resolutions for you. Check out the full article here:
