Longtime NBC News anchorman Tom Brokaw speaks at Emory University's commencement in Atlanta, Ga. After recalling his experiences working in local television in Atlanta during the 1960's, Brokaw talks about commencements as "annual rituals of renewal" where "the American Dream is so fully realized." He also discusses the impact of the 9/11 terror attacks and the need for tolerance in a contentious world. Brokaw also makes a plea for better stewardship of the environment, referring to "mindless consumption" as a "form of blasphemy and suicide."
