Elie Wiesel, the Romanian-born American Jewish writer, professor, political activist, Nobel Laureate, and Holocaust survivor, passed away this past weekend at the age of 87. He authored over 57 books, including his most well known work Night about his experience with his father in the Nazi German concentration camps. Wiesel gave many public talks at the 92nd Street Y in New York City and his talks have been archived in a playlist on their YouTube channel. You can watch or listen to over 70 lectures that Wiesel gave there, dating back all the way to 1967. Many of the talks cover Jewish topics with talks on key figures and teachings from the Bible and the Talmud. Wiesel also gives many lectures on the importance of action in the face of violence, repression, and racism.
