Activism, Anarchism, and Power, May 09, 2006
Reviewer: girijad83 from India

In this interview of Noam Chomsky, his development of thought process is questioned with the influence of his parents to the development of his own ideas.

The interviewer starts by asking Noam Chomsky where he was born, to which Noam replies ‘Philadelphia, in 1928’, and then Noam goes on to say that he stayed in Philadelphia till he got his Harvard research fellowship, and that he has been in Boston since 1950. Noam also tells that his father was a Hebrew scholar and his mother a Hebrew teacher. It has been a combination of influences and resistances in terms of his parents influencing his thought.

This is an excellent podcast with, however, a serious drawback. While the voice of the interviewer is clear, showing no Net connectivity problems, the voice of Noam comes in a monotone, breaking up as if coming out through an old wartime radio program. The podcast however would be a great source of inspiration to Noam Chomsky fans, and this problem should not deter them from listening to the podcast .
