It is said that President John F. Kennedy's steadiness under pressure averted disaster during the Cuban Missile Crisis. A candidate's character and views on a wide range of issues are important in judging whether he or she will be an effective president. Those qualities are explored in depth in an hour-long conversation with Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman, and Democratic presidential candidate, Joe Biden.
In his 35 years in the Senate, Biden has dealt with all the key questions before the nation - including climate change, health care, the war in Iraq, terrorism, the economy and immigration.

This interview was great - the sound quality was good so listening was enjoyable from the get-go. It was in a formal setting with an informal attitude to it - starting out with who Joe Biden was and phasing in to who Joe Biden is. It wasn't until about half way through that they touched on politics. The first half was alright, and great for the "Getting to Know" factor - however didn't really have much substancial information. After that point, however, they really covered a variety of very pertinent issues - ones that have been on the back burner since the war began. Education - for instance - healthcare systems, the resposibility of other countries in the fight on illegal immigration...he was clear and concise - definetly NOT a waste of an hour.
