Author, former political strategist, and historian Kevin Phillips talked about his life and career. He discussed economics, including theory, statistics, and the current economic crisis. Mr. Phillips was a senior strategist for Richard Nixon's 1968 presidential campaign and was a special assistant to the U.S. attorney general in 1969 to 1970. He became a regular political contributor to CBS News, NPR, and the Los Angeles Times.
