This time-lapse video documents the painting-over of Sol LeWitt's "Wall Drawing #935: Color bands in four directions," (2000) in SFMOMA's Haas Atrium. The painting was especially commissioned for the museum, along with "Wall Drawing #936: Color arcs in four directions" (2000). They were painted-over on September 17, 2008. They can be re-installed in the future in this or another location according to the artist's designs and installation instructions, which remain a permanent part of SFMOMA's painting and sculpture collection.

This time-lapse video documents the installation of Sol LeWitt's monumental wall drawings ("Wall Drawing #935: Color bands in four directions," and ""Wall Drawing #936: Color arcs in four directions," both 2000) in SFMOMA's Haas Atrium. The paintings were especially commissioned for the museum, and were executed by a team of painters in conjunction with the Sol LeWitt retrospective in 2000. The artist's designs and installation instructions are a permanent part of SFMOMA's painting and sculpture collection. They were purchased through a gift of Phyllis Wattis in honor of Gary Garrels, Elise S. Haas Chief Curator and Curator of Painting and Sculpture.
