Today is Happy Wednesday! Your “Power” day! Let’s talk about empowering yourself by being aware of your self talk. At times of stress, during challenges, or just your day-to-day worries, is your inner dialogue negative or positive? Maybe your inner voice is even sabotaging your goals and dreams with thoughts like I’m not good enough, this is too hard, I can’t do it. Your inner voice will always be with you, yet how can you stop it from controlling your life? 1) Start by being aware of your inner dialogue. Pay close attention to your negative and sabotaging thoughts. 2) Surround yourself with positive and supportive people. 3) Motivate yourself on a daily basis by listening or reading uplifting and inspiring CDs and books. Empower Yourself During Moments of Boredom

Today is Happy Wednesday...your "Power" Day. How can you empower yourself today during moments of boredom? You might be thinking; this is a strange question. Today's quote will help to answer this question. Today's quote- "To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring - it was peace. " ~Milan Kundera As a business life coach, so many of my clients share how they want to have more harmony in their lives and enjoy that feeling of peace within. So how can doing nothing help provide that feeling of peace within? When we give ourselves the gift of being quiet and doing nothing, it allows us to easily become present in the moment. Today, I challenge you to find a quiet place and give yourself the gift of five to ten minutes to do nothing. Give your mind a rest. Don’t worry about anything. This is your time. Take three deep breaths and do nothing. Just focus on your surroundings by using all your senses. Feel your body relax and notice how the feeling of peace within is restored. When you make the choice to forgive, instead of focusing on your wounded feelings, you will set yourself free and feel more at peace. Holding on to your anger only hurts yourself, including your emotional balance as well as your physical health. So today, choose to forgive! Here are 5 steps to set yourself free- 1) Forgive the person by allowing them to be human for their mistakes. We all make mistakes. 2) Show your forgiveness by no longer discussing the situation. Talking about it only gives more energy to your negative feelings. 3) Show your acceptance of the person's sorrow and regret by letting go of your anger and hurt. When you let go, you will start to feel more at peace with yourself. 4) Let go of any need to seek revenge. This will only prolong the healing process. 5) Develop an action plan between the two of you in order to heal the scars and move forward. Do you remember those natural feelings of joy, wonder and optimism? Do you long to have those feelings of excitement and adventure back into your life? Then, let me ask you a few questions: - As a child, what did you love to do? What brought a smile to your face? - How can you recapture those feelings of what you loved to do as a child and bring them back into your life as an adult? Take some time today to answer these questions by writing down your thoughts and feelings. Maybe start a journal or add to the one you already have. You will never know what spark of excitement you might ignite until you try.
