Write a Review of ASU Digital Media & Instructional Technologies Podcast

J.E., February 17, 2006
Reviewer: J.E. from Chicago, Illinois

The ASU Digital Media and Instructional Technologies podcast is designed to give the general public a sampling of some of the guest speakers and special lectures many ASU podcasts produced on a variety of topics thus far, including an interview series with Hugh Downs, lectures from best-selling authors Amy Tan and E.L. Doctorow, and a speech on health care policy from former House Whip Newt Gingrich.

Most of the ASU podcasts I listened to were a bit difficult to understand and get involved in. Some of them were pretty boring and made me feel like I was sitting in a big lecture hall at college. A couple of the podcasts were very interesting, such as the one by Robert Cialdini about the subject of influence.

Although this podcast is put out by a university, I think a majority of the episodes would appeal to an older (35+ years old) crowd or to people who like to listen to discussions about public policy.

Overall, I give this podcast 4 stars because it is definitely educational and informative.
