The Afternote podcast is very brief three-minute show produced by ABC News. It is available daily, and brings listeners a quick recap of what is happening in U.S. politics. Some past shows have covered Cindy Sheehan, John Roberts, and Katherine Harris.
This podcast is from ABC News, so it definitely has a professional sound and feel to it. I think this is a great way to get a bit of information about some of the biggest stories in politics. Since the shows are only 3 minutes long, this podcast of course cannot replace your regular news source. Instead, it should be used as a supplement or as a way to get caught up when you don't have much time to spare.

This was a nice, short 3 minute political news summary from ABC News. The host David Challean actually has a little more edge and humor than what you'd expect from ABC News. He's got a pretty engaging delivery. It kind of reminded me of British political coverage. The ABC News Afternote Podcast is a good way to catch up on the biggest stories in politics without having to deal with all the spin and fanfare of other radio and TV sources.
