Each day ESPN.com produces two 5-10 minute MP3 format audio files. Using a program like Apple's iTunes, users can subscribe, download, and listen or transfer the files to a portable audio player, like an iPod.

The ESPN Radio podcast brings listeners excerpts from some of the network's most popular radio shows. Some past topics and highlights have included interviews with professional athletes, analysis of big games, and commentary about things that are happening off the field.

I think this podcast is pretty good, but it can't replace a regular sports highlight show because they just don't have time to cover everything that's going on. Also, I found the sound quality to be a bit lacking, particularly when they are interviewing an athlete over the phone. I could barely hear any of Brett Favre's comments because of poor sound. Overall, I think casual sports fans will enjoy this podcast, but hard-core fans will be left wanting more.
