The Slashdot Review podcast gives a 10 minute summary and highlights of the recent contributions on slashdot.com. Examples of the news articles include - paypal to offer micro payments, an open source alternative to the popular net telephony software Skype, RIAA hands out more lawsuits, the latest Winzip news, and more...
At the end of each review, the podcast features a song of a new music band. The song is not copyrighted (non-RIAA), and hence can be distributed freely over p2p networks.
The audio quality is good, and the way the host talks makes you want to listen to the broadcast till the end.
Sad advertising concept, February 17, 2006

I have been listening to Slashdot Review for quite a long time.
Information content would be 5 out of 5.
But every day listening to exactly the same two Advertising Partners makes me horribly angry. Are we considered to bee stupid?
I hate normal radio because good content is mixed with junk Ads and all the same music again and again. - Thats why I tuned to Podcasts.
Even when I downloaded the episodes with BitTorrent it was full of Ads.
No thanks to Mr. slash dot - there are equal Pods out there without JUNK Ads.
