Tom Trucker's Travels & Audio Podcast, hosted by Thomas R. Wiles, is the banter of a trucker as he travels across the United States. Listening to the podcast made me feel like a hitchhiker travelling alongwith Tom Trucker himself, listening to his chat about music, cellphones, politics and everything else under the sun.

For example, in the October 13 podcast, Tom is travelling through Utah, Nevada and Colorado. He tells us that he was interviewed for a Saturday Morning radio show by a radio-station owner, where he had an interesting time talking to live callers. He rambles on about not being able to find a payphone later, and opines that cellphones are killing payphones! In the October 10 podcast, he answers e-mails from listeners and plays us some of his favourite music. He also gives us a lowdown on some of the latest gizmos he has bought.

An interesting addition to Tom Trucker's podcast are the links to his favourite podcast, blog and product websites, which can be found on this webpage. All in all, this is a unique podcast, best listened to when you are in a rambling, relaxed mood and ready to listen to some friendly banter about, well, everything.

I learned today that a cousin that I haven't seen in probably 28 years committed suicide sometime on Saturday.

Can your Internet connection do this? This is the speed test result I got of the public WiFi Crete Carriers is providing to drivers in their parking lot. Just another example of why Crete Carrier Corporation is a great company to drive a truck for!

I talk about buying a 17" Macbook Pro at my local Best Buy store. I also talk about trying out the new Apple "Mobile Me" service that rebrands and replaces the .Mac or "dot mac" service.

I also play a voice file from Jeff Forester a.k.a. www.truckertwotimes.com about overpopulation and then comment at length on it and why overpopulation isn't humanity's main problem -- playing God in our own minds via resenting people, places and things is the real culprit.

I finally got completely disgusted with Windows today. As a result I decided to make the move as completely as possible to Apple and OS/X.

I've had a 13" Intel-based Macbook for over a year, and I've liked the machine. However, since I'm producing lots of HD videos, I've found the 13" widescreen to be too small.

So, today I bought a 17" widescreen Macbook Pro.

People often try to reason with a brainwashed mind. Therefore, things can seem logical and reasoning sound, when in fact it's not because the mind that's doing the reasoning has brainwashed-induced dysfunction.

Hand Held Podcast Aggregator Video 40.5 Megabytes

I show a $15 dollar podcast aggregator I have on my Sprint HTC "Touch" phone called "SmartRSS" that I purchased through www.handango.com. I've been using my phone as my podcast aggregator and podcast player for about a month and a half or more at this point and it's working extremely well. In fact, it's working better than iTunes and and iPod since the podcasts are downloaded directly to my phone automatically, and I never have to synchronize the player with the computer to get the latest podcasts.

I talk about the concept of disruptive technology and how the air car and compressed air as an energy storage mechanism could potentially disrupt a wide variety of existing technologies and business models.

Are you trading your soul for a nickle? Do you steal songs, movies and TV programs via peer-to-peer networks such as Bittorrent? If so, you are a thief, and no amount of justification and/or rationalization can change that fact. Hopefully the RIAA and MPAA will catch you soon. Also, internet service providers should set an outright ban on Bittorrent file transfers.

The original file I put up for episode 847 had horrendous audio problems, so I deleted it from the Mevio server and re-did the podcast.

I talk about the Air Car, engines supposedly running on hydrogen derived from water, and why I believe that if fuel prices continue to rise people are resourceful and the world won't come to an end as we know it.
