I began my career in the the hearing health care field in 1992. From 1992 to 1995, I was an Occupation Hearing Tester throughout Oregon and Washington. I conducted hearing tests on employees of companies, that were required by O.S.H.A. (Occupational Saftey And Health Administration), to provide annual hearing tests for their employees.
During those three years, I administered hearing tests to nearly 9,000 people, totaling approximately 30,000 hearing tests.
In 1997, I received a temporary Hearing Aid Dispenser's License. In early 2000, I became a Licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser.
My experience as both a Certified Hearing Conservationist and a Hearing Aid Dispenser, has given me a well-rounded understanding of hearing health care.
I have a thorough understanding of what causes hearing loss and the impact that hearing loss can have on one's life and the lives of those around them.
My knowledge encompasses a very broad spectrum of hearing health care issues, from hearing loss prevention, to hearing loss treatment.
Experience and knowledge does not necessarily make a good Author. I believe, that in addition to experience and knowledge, what makes me most qualified to Author an informational hearing health care guide, is the way in which I convey the information.
My strong appreciation for hearing, serves to motivate, as well as educate.
My approach to imparting my knowledge about hearing is done in a friendly, articulate, step-by-step fashion. I try to blend my passion with compassion.
I truely believe that you shouldn't care how much someone knows, until you know how much that person cares. When It comes to hearing you would need to search far and wide to find someone that cares more than I do.
If you have any questions about hearing and hearing health care, in general, my new educational audio, 'Hearing Loss And Loss Prevention', is a must hear.
