Sherwood Anderson's Winesburg, Ohio features a collection of stories that will really stick with you. The characters are eccentric (for the most part) but believable. My favorite story is that of Dr. Reefy. The structure of Winesburg, Ohio, short stories that come together to form one big story, makes it ideal for listening during breaks throughout your day. There are lots of good starting and stopping points.
