  • Rambling with Maurice
    Thu, Jan 30, 2014

Breaking up this week’s show, I’ve added a guest co-host. Although this is his first podcast, Maurice grabs the [proverbial] bull by the horn for this show. Covering a variety of topics from sports to politics to human nature, today’s Father/Son bantering is not your typical oneupmanship style of generational counterpoint. • 2014 Flames of Passion
    Sun, Jan 12, 2014

My theme for 2014 is flames of passion. I’ve come to realize that nothing (creative) happens without passion. Another metaphor for passion is fire. The flames of a candle cuts through the darkness…visible at night as far away as 50 miles. The fire in the belly is often described of persons running for public office. When we notice our flames flickering, this is our cue to fuel-up! That what today’s show is all about…fueling up your candle to allow your flame to burn inwardly and outwardly.

  • Thoughts from a Proud Veteran
    Sun, Nov 10, 2013

Every year around (November) this time, I post something that commemorates Veterans’ Day. I am a Veteran — a member of an elite group of Americans. Veterans day is very special to me. A Nation that honors her Veterans, honors her heritage. This Veterans day please stop and reflect. Honor a Veteran by saying to (S)he: Thank you for your service.

  • Obamacare is NOT a Train Wreck
    Thu, Oct 31, 2013

Much has been said about Obamacare, aka the Affordable Care Act of 2010. One prominent U.S. senator has referred to the law as a train-wreck. Referencing this issue, I wrote a posting via my sister blogsite @Encouraging-People.com. Although the subject was thoroughly exercised, I’ve recorded the contents via this audio reading. As a 2nd benefit, hearing the vocal words of the written blogpost has given me an even deeper understanding of th [...]

  • Shutting Down Government 2013 with Obamacare
    Tue, Oct 15, 2013

Anyone less than those under a rock or living in a cave knows of the impending 2013 U.S. Federal Government shutdown. Polls show that the majority of Americans blame House of Representatives Republicans. Yet be that as it may, ALL elected national political officials have a fudiciary duty to legislate and operate the Federal Government. The message is simple: Hey Congress, use your head…Just Say No! to a Federal Shutdown.

  • Work for the Sake of Work
    Sat, Aug 24, 2013

No other activity takes up more space and time as doing work, job, and career. Work is what gives us a sense of purpose…a sense of being. Go to a party; first question asked of you by a newcomer is: say…what do you do for a living? Let’s face it, second only to our belief (or unbelief) in a god/spirit/higher-power, work is the single most important tenet of our waking hour(s) thought consciousness. Recorded on a Sunday morning, I reflect on my intimate thoughts about work while enjoying the sunrise on a mountain at the park.

  • Walking a Day in a Womans Moccassins
    Thu, Aug 08, 2013

Describe your life if you were forced to spend a day in another’s mind/body/spirit. Who knows…maybe that’s why the Native Americans were infamous for the saying, walk a mile in another man’s moccassins. Today, we explore the idea of spending a day in another’s shoes (or skin). Looking beyond ourselves, we begin to look into, behind, and through our neighbor’s lenses. Come with me as I walk a day in another wo-man’s moccassins.

  • How to Control Your Life
    Sat, Jul 20, 2013

The self-help movement teaches that we are the “Captains of our ship”. Simply believe and [then] achieve! — goes the mantra. After experiencing Earthly life for 1/2 century, my conclusion is that we don’t control our lives. My viewpoint is that life is given and received. The amazing thing is that The Creator also gifted humans with the power of choice — aka, Free Will — to exercise autonomy of choice management of this gift of life. We are Life Managers; listen-in to learn more…
