  • 028: Pitchers are Pussies & RIP Pitching Ninja
    Wed, Apr 18, 2018

Pitchers are huge pussies for the way most of them handle throwing at hitters, and hitters charging the mound. Look no further than Perdomo throwing at Arenado then running behind the mound. Don't throw at guys if you won't go man to man. Pitching Ninja / Rob Friedman was suspended from twitter suspectedly for using MLB content.

  • 023: We're Done Covering College Softball, Indefinitely.
    Tue, May 30, 2017

The time has come. After 5 long years of attempting to dive into the college softball game, I think it's time we've thrown in the towel. Here's a little update on the straw that broke the camel's back from the Baylor Arizona Super Regional game Sunday night. Baseball Fam is done with softball.

  • 022: No Room for Dick Shaming in Baseball
    Wed, May 10, 2017

Matt Harvey is the dick of all dicks for his fiasco this week. But Kevin Plawecki is the real weirdo here for issuing a statement in full PR fashion about a big black dildo popping up in his locker. We show some love to Jeter, and recap a couple twitter shit storms from the week. Also, all of Boston is a racist for shouting the N-word at Adam Jones of the Orioles at Fenway.

  • 021: Red Sox O's, Ryan Loves Softball Players Too Much
    Tue, May 02, 2017

Happened to be recording this one during the Red Sox and Orioles opener on ESPN. Ryan gets a little too hot watching a softball game. That and a whole lotta other bull shit.

    Wed, Apr 26, 2017

  • 018: We Run a JUCO Operation Here
    Mon, Mar 27, 2017

Mario & Ryan talked shit behind my back after I was kicked out of the call. Ryan is in Montana for some reason, and Mario reminisces over old heartbreak.s

  • 014: Royals Fans Ruin ASG Voting
    Wed, Jun 01, 2016

I'm joined by Mario Mejia, contributor to baseballfam.com and host of the Dirty Water Podcast on Baseball Fam & iTunes to talk baseball. Royals fans are back at it again making a mockery of the MLB All Star Game voting. There are tons of questionable choices at the top of position lists in the American League. We also touch on Noah Syndergaard throwing at Chase Utley at Citi Field this week.

  • 013: David Ortiz HoF Fate, Two New MLB Rules, NCAA Cracks Down on Softball
    Tue, May 24, 2016

Episode 13 of the Baseball Fam Podcast is live on iTunes, Spotify, Stitcher, and Soundcloud. I talk about why David Ortiz is not a 1st ballot hall of famer. Looking at how the voters treat the designated hitter makes it pretty clear that if Edgar Martinez still isn't in the Hall of Fame, David Ortiz won't make it in on his first ballot, regardless of his numbers. The NCAA cracked down on softball shenanigans. Beginning with the NCAA regionals, teams will no longer be allowed to have props in the dugout as you see in the picture above. Two new rules changes in the MLB possibly starting in 2017. The strike zone will move from below the knee caps, to the top of the knee caps. They will also eliminate the need to throw 4 balls to execute an intentional walk.

  • 012: Odor's Got HANDS, Bautista Gets Rocked, & Bryce Harper's a Good Guy
    Mon, May 16, 2016

Benches cleared in the Blue Jays Rangers game in Arlington after Jose Bautista slid late into Rougned Odor. Odor took exception and threw a haymaker that landed on Bautista's jaw. It was awesome to watch, because both players are dicks. We need more fighting in baseball? Also, Bryce Harper served a once game suspension and paid an undisclosed fine for telling an umpire to F off. Some guys just lose their cool in the heat of the moment. Bryce Harper also was seen handing a homeless woman in Chicago a jar of cash.

  • 011: Dee Gordon & Chris Colabello Suck
    Sun, May 01, 2016

Miami Marlins Dee Gordon and Toronto Blue Jays Chris Colabelllowere both busted for failed PED tests this week. They'll both serve80 game suspensions from MLB and lose half this year's salary, butthere are bigger implications on the current state of baseball.

  • 010: Trevor Story the GOAT, Mad Bum Overrated, & #KeepTheChief
    Tue, Apr 12, 2016

Some big Baseball Fam updates and a run down of the first week of MLB season. Trevor Story and Tyler White, the most unlikely winners of Player of the Week. The new slide rule already causing havoc, Chase Utley already pushing the limits, and Madison Bumgarner & Marcus Stroman make our super overrated list. Major League Baseball is incompetent when it comes to adjusting the schedule the first month of the season.

  • 005: World Series '15 Game 1 Insanity
    Wed, Oct 28, 2015

WOW Game 1 of the World Series was one for the ages. It saw 38 position players and 13 pitchers used, and went down as the longest game in World Series history. Let's talk my hatred but appreciation for Alex Gordon and Eric Hosmer. My extra inning rule should be put into MLB rules immediately. Juliana Zobrist is the greatest baseball wife of all time. We almost got to watch a playoff baseball game with no Joe Buck, then got blue balled. Both bullpens are completely tapped already. Stop wearing gloves to baseball games, and stop sipping on the same beer for 5 innings.

  • 004: It's World Series Time, and Replay Still Sucks!
    Mon, Oct 26, 2015

NLCS has wrapped up and it's officially World Series time! The Mets put a serious hurting on the Cubs, the Royals small balled the Blue Jays all the way home, and we're jsut days out from the Fall Classic. Oh, and replay still sucks, the Wrigley Ivy ground rule double needs to change and #CleanItUpVentura is our new hashtag.

  • 003: ALCS NLCS Review - I'm Coming To Party With You
    Wed, Oct 21, 2015

The ALCS and NLCS are setting up to be only 9 games long total, and I'm not happy about it. The World Series is right around the corner and I'm not sure I'm ready for baseball to be over with yet. The Jays are killing me, the Mets own the Cubs, the Royals are smacking the best offense in baseball, and I might be coming to party with some of you.

  • 002: Craziest Inning in MLB History
    Mon, Oct 19, 2015

  • 001: MLB Suspends Chase Utley, & They Got It Right
    Mon, Oct 19, 2015

Major League Baseball handed down a 2 game suspension for Dodgers Chase Utley for his hard slide into second base in Game 2 of the NLDS between Mets and Dodgers. Utley's slide resulted in a broken leg for Mets SS Ruben Tejada. This is the first time a suspension has been handed down for such a play, but the MLB got this one right.

  • 000: The Story of Baseball Fam
    Mon, Oct 19, 2015

Shane Sullivan tells the story of how the Baseball Fam Podcast began. It all started in 2011 with a joking Twitter account ShtBallPlayrsDo. From the creation of the popular "cleatchaser" logo, it quickly grew into multiple website ventures bringing together baseball players and fans in the most unique way. baseballfam.com was then created in August 2015 with nearly 100,000 views in the first month of it's launch. Finally, the Baseball Fam Podcast was born. Baseball Fam Podcast and baseballfam.com are places with content created by true ball players, high school, college, and professional athletes with a genuine passion for the sport and Major League Baseball (MLB).
