This November the nation has the chance to vote for members of the next Congress. The stakes are high. Whether it's conflict in the Middle East - from Israel to Iraq - or partisan conflict in Washington, voters will send a message to the leaders of the country. The World Affairs Council of Northern California presents a leading voice, to better inform voters on these conflicts, as part of the inaugural Richard and Judith Guggenhime Series.David Brooks, Columnist for The New York Times and regular analyst on the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer and NPR's All Things Considered. Brooks offers views on ways to build a bi-partisan foreign policy and the impact of ideological divisions within American politics on the US role in the world. The World Affairs Council was founded in 1947 out of the interest generated by the founding of the United Nations in San Francisco in 1945. With over 10,000 members, they are the largest international affairs organization on the west coast.
