I have not listened to the audio version so cannot say anything about the reader or the recording. The book itself is an extremely well written, eye opener to the rest of the world.
Not for the faint of heart, it is for those who want to see real world.
One caveat, do not suppose that all Muslim women live like those in Taliban controlled Afghanistan.
