Description

That Will Do Nicely is a story about everyman. Someone who is nondescript, just getting on with life, who is suddenly, through no fault of his own, confronted with a catastrophe. He has a simple choice to make... to accept the hand that fate has dealt him or to fight back.

Tom Pascoe, the everyman of the story decides to fight back. Faced with bankruptcy, brought on him by his errant spendthrift wife and without the means to pay off her debts, he decides to fight fire with fire by conning the money his wife owes to a 'credit card' company out of the company itself.

He invents an American bank and using the skills he has learned in his working life, decides to create Travelers Cheques for the bank. His problem then becomes exchanging enough of them in a short enough space of time to enable him to pay off the debts without getting caught. He realises he doesn't have all of the necessary skills to pull it off and enlists the help of a computer expert... the seductive Sam. Together, they work the con, but not just for the amount Pascoe requires to cover the debtbut for a million dollars, each.

Naturally, the con comes to the attention of the police which Pascoe has anticipated but unfortunately, anything that brings the almighty dollar into disrepute also attracts the attention of the American Secret Service and this is something Pascoe didn't anticipate. The chase and finale is unpredictable and will keep you guessing to the end.
