LearnOutLoud.com Review
This special episode of Fresh Air from 1997 features a live conversation between one of the most beloved American filmmakers, Martin Scorsese, and one of the most beloved American film critics, Roger Ebert. Recorded at the Wexner Center for the Arts at Ohio State University, Scorsese sits down with Ebert to discuss films from throughout his career. They proceed through the interview analyzing clips from Scorsese's films Taxi Driver (1976), Raging Bull (1980), The Last Temptation of Christ (1988), Goodfellas (1990), and Casino (1995). It'd be nice to have video of the conversation to see the clips, as here you only get the audio, but if you know the films, it's still fun to hear about the making of these scenes and anecdotes about creating these great American films in this wonderful conversation.
