LearnOutLoud.com Review
This Canadian documentary focuses on the teachings of Stephen Jenkinson, who works with dying people and their families. Being at the deathbed of over 1,000 people, Jenkinson has plenty of wisdom to share about the act of dying. He's a curious character who speaks bluntly about grief and dying to his patients and draws on Native American wisdom to provide advice. The filmmaker Tim Wilson asks many questions of Jenkinson and his sometimes mysterious advice that he gives to patients. Through the documentary, we meet numerous dying people that he works with, and we're encouraged to consider our own beliefs when it comes to our mortality.
