The Nightline podcast is produced by ABC, and is intended to give listeners some insight into the biggest news stories of the day.
I think this podcast might simply be the audio track from the actual TV show broadcast. This makes it confusing in one important way: When you hear quotes from several different people in succession, you don't know who's talking. For example, when they show a segment on TV and they talk to a few different people for the story, you will see a graphic pop up telling you who each person is and their affiliation. They don't modify the podcast at all, so you just hear a bunch of different people speaking without knowing who they are or why they're important.
Other than that, I think the Nightline podcast is an excellent way to catch up on the news. I've given it 4 stars, and will definitely subscribe to it.
