John Dean was the White House counsel to President Richard Nixon for nearly three years. Prior to his tenure in the White House, Mr. Dean was an associate deputy attorney general in the U.S. Department of Justice and served as chief minority counsel for the House Judiciary Committee. Mr. Dean is the author of ten books, including Blind Ambition: The White House Years (1976); The Rehnquist Choice: The Untold Story of the Nixon Appointment That Redefined the Supreme Court (2001); and Worse Than Watergate: The Secret Presidency of George W. Bush (2004).
