LearnOutLoud.com Review
Watch this short, beautiful documentary covering the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. With limited narration, the images and music speak for themselves in the restoration of this historic film. You'll see footage of the buildup to the march, along with the peaceful march itself on August 28, 1963. You'll hear lots of singing from the participants, as well as songs from Joan Baez and Marian Anderson. Unfortunately, Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech is muted in this documentary due to copyright reasons, which is strange because it's available on video elsewhere on YouTube. Otherwise, it's an amazing record of a key moment in the civil rights movement.
