Although Bram Stoker wrote many novels, essays and short stories during his life, the Irish writer is inextricably linked with his infamous vampire novel - Dracula. Many of his writings, like this adapted version of The Judge’s House, are eerie accounts between the human world and horrid beings from beyond the grave.

The Judge’s House recounts the tale of a young student, looking for a remote location to study for his college exams. But the house he rents in the quite town of Benchurch, delivers much more excitement than he ever could have imagined.

Adaptation Written by Garcia Mann

This text is good if you are studying any gothic kind of literature or art. It isn't advised to use this text as a main study but is good as a side-line text. This narrative is an adaptation of the original text and is useful if you have difficulty understanding the orginal language of the text. It is not very good if you want to effectively analyse the text though, because it misses out occasional key quotes and points, but is good as a general feel for the book and the main themes and problem of Stoker's society.
