The Mind of Krishnamurti (1989) Documentary on Free Online Video

Religious writer and teacher Jiddu Krishnamurti is the subject of this hour-long documentary on his life, work and legacy. As a young boy, Krishnamurti was singled out to lead a new era of spiritual enlightenment. As he came of age, he became disillusioned with the role set out for him and soon discarded the concept of religious authority, favoring a view that negated the distinction between teacher and student, abolished formal creeds and formulated an unconditioned search for the truth. Using archival interviews and footage of Krishnamurti's retreats juxtaposed with insight provided by his students and colleagues, this documentary is a great introduction to the life and work of an influential teacher that at times can seem inscrutable, even to his adherents.
